With over 25 years in the civil construction industry, Terrell Richards and Wiley Richards have focused on providing quality services to their clients. W & T Contracting Corporation is a general contractor (GC) specializing in commercial site development, project management, build out, commercial and municipal sanitary and storm drainage condition assessment services.
In 2022, W & T Contracting Corporation was awarded a contract with Ford BlueOval City through a joint venture with Magnolia Underground Construction Inc.
“We attended outreach meetings, viewed website postings and focused on a joint venture,” said Terrell Richards.
W & T Contracting Corporation is certified with the City of Memphis, Shelby County Government, Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
Although W & T Contracting Corporation has achieved success in the construction industry, there have been challenges as a minority-owned business.
‘Minority businesses have blossomed over the last 15-20 years,” said Wiley Richards. “I am blown away by the success.”
Over the next few months, W & T Contracting Corporation plans to expand its presence in the West Tennessee area for contract opportunities and build new relationships.
