Leonard Jones

Leonard Jones is a Brownsville native and received his education from Haywood County Schools. Leonard was employed by Tennessee Department of Transportation for 30 years as a Bridge Inspector. He is now retired and spends his days serving his community and tending his family garden in the New Hope area. He and his wife Mary have been married for 40 years. They have two adult children Kim and Justin and three grandchildren. Leonard Jones serves as a County Commissioner in District 10 and has for 16 years. As a Commissioner he serves as vice chairman of the budget committee and vice chairman of Solid Waste. Leonard is also the Chairman of the UT Ag Extension Advisory Board. He is a member of the Jefferson Street Church of Christ where he serves as Superintendent of Sunday School.
